The "A Letter to My Ex" clip documents myself acting as the role of “The New Girl”, in the Black queer production of “A Letter to My Ex: The Musical, written and directed by Be Steadwell. In this clip, I am on a date with the main protagonist who is hoping to rebound a new lover, after a massive break up. Black queer and trans people have complex lives, though the archive as it exist may say were merely a body-overboard, cargo, or Venus, and this musical captures our complexity by depicting the stages of grief and healing post-break up within a long term relationship, with an entirely Black queer and trans cast (with the exception of one persion).
